Steve, there's a guy on another guitar forum that has 2 of them. I have heard some of his stuff on MP3 and yes they are dynamite! Absoulutely beautiful craftsmanship. Too rich for my blood, but they are right up there in the same class with guitars by Olsen, Kevin Ryan, Kathy Wingert, Linda Manzer, Froggy Bottom, etc. High class instruments indeed.

Yo, Steven. Don't buy a high-end wooden guitar you haven't played, unless you want to move to Saudi Arabia and marry a woman in a black bag! I own a Taylor 710CE. Yeah, it likes 11's, and the Fishman Prefix Plus has generated absolutely believable stuff through a Joemeek twinQcs! It's a little boomy, which can be hard to tame, especially for heavy strumming. I actually had to put a pop filter in front of a pair of MC012's, because the Taylor was popping them, and the mics weren't anywhere near the soundhole!
Look, take a ride to New Orleans and buy a guitar. For the amount of money you're talking about laying out for an axe, buying it sight unseen is just plain dumb.-Richie

Thanks Richard. I know that you are 100% correct. I think I may have found some places closer than New Orleans; I hate New Orleans. I may go to Dallas though just because I like to go there. The 710ce I played did have more boom than the concert series ( 814 ? ). The smaller bodied concert series would probably be better for recording for that reason. However, I do play live at times and like to have the volume then. Sigh. Guess I'll just have to have two of them. By the way, I've checked out your sight. You've got a nice place there with some fine gear. Would like to come and hang out in your studio and make some racket. Thanks for the info and the advice. Oh, and I've already married a little Arab woman. Not bad! But I got to see her first.
