I remember the posts saying that the GB thread was going to be closed...and i'm pretty sure chance said he was going send out some mass e-mails letting people know what the deal is with the ongoing issues

anways, i haven't seen/heard anything for a while...and all i want is a new ribon for the crap one that came with my ACM-3

Must admit, I am confused. "GB" forum? Does that mean Guitar and Bass? That's the only one I can figure it means, nothing else has "G" and "B" in it's title.

Why would the Guitar and Bass forum be closed? Personally, it is my "favorite." I don't see people getting outrageous there, any more than any other forum. And I never got the memo.

What's going on???

Yes, the Group Buy thread is closed. You will find a couple of other threads floating around that discuss specific topics related to the GB. Try looking in the DIY section. I think Chance is staying mostly on one other site, but can't remember which one. Pretty sure it's not gearzlutz.

Email Chance. He's sending out replacement ribbons for the ones that were bad from the previous buy right now (a couple of people got theirs a couple of days ago), so he obviously has at least some spare ribbons at this point---hopefully enough.... :)
