I read on another post where owners of the Behringer 1202 could perform a "one click" method and bypass the EQ. IF true, I think this is valuable to anyone with a 1202. Does anyone know?

I'm running a sampson C01 condensor (vox/guitar) and shs om-500s/audiotechnica ML1000l's for drums and bass into a behringer 1202 then into my SB audigy (24bit) soundcard. My recording sound alright but lack a certain level of clarity and the high ends seem too bright and get dull if I EQ them...

I've currently got a behringer 1202 and I use the pre's in that to go to my soundcard but there is still a noticable amount of hiss. I know I can't get rid of all of the hiss but will the dmp-3 show a signifigant reduction in hiss (maybe?) and a worthwhile improvement in clarity or sound quality?

I'm currently recording with Magix studio cos' it cost $30. I could probably find somewhere some better software (online or I could even buy it), would this software change make any difference in the sound at all, apart from possibly being more flexible?

Which is better? Does the 12ax7 in the studio projects stb-1 add any musical warmth and color I might not get with the DMP-3? Any Ideas?
