Dmp-3...

I've currently got a behringer 1202 and I use the pre's in that to go to my soundcard but there is still a noticable amount of hiss. I know I can't get rid of all of the hiss but will the dmp-3 show a signifigant reduction in hiss (maybe?) and a worthwhile improvement in clarity or sound quality?

What soundcard? What mic? The hiss could be coming from either of them. I have a Behringer ECM 8000 omni mic that has relatively high self noise. I have a Behringer MX 802 and it doesn't produce hiss except at very high gain, and the UB pres are supposed to be quieter and better. BTW, the DMP3 is much better than the MX 802, much better.
