Anyone had a chance to compare the Kjaerhus Golden Series with their Voxengo counterparts? What did you think?

Kjaerhus Golden Compressor is one the better compressors I've used at this lower end price range. Very flexible. Voxengo stuff is a little over blown in my opinion. I no longer use any of his stuff. At one time owned alot of it. I'm much happier with the Kjaerhus Golden Compressor and Goldern EQ. They are CPU friendly too.

I was never impressed with the Gold series plugs. Many Voxengo fx are beyond me, really. But my two bread and butter plugs (the ones that made me actually sell one of my UAD-1 cards) are the Voxengo Marquis compressor and HarmoniEQ. Those are two tight plugs. As is the entire AnalogFlux suite. Sublime.

Kjaerhus compressor is a good little plugin (Never used Voxengo's Comp plug-in, but I like most of Voxengo's other stuff). If you're after Bread N' Butter plugins for cheap money, check out PSP's Mixpack.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Time to try some more demos...

I have read posts by people who prefer the voxengo elefant over the LA-2, It's a damn shame you can't try out the UAD-1...
