Tascam dp24 transfering files to windows 8?

Is it possible to transfer files from the dp24 to windows 8? I have tried and from the looks of it, it seems that my computer is too new to be able to transfer my songs from the DP24. Someone out there please tell me I am an idiot and this is not true. Or if you have a solution to this problem besides changing my whole OS, please enlighten me.

Obviously I'm a newbie and was unaware that I posted this twice. oops.
 
I don't know why you can't transfer, it isn't OS specific ... you must be overlooking something. The transfer is simply a USB connection that makes the DP24 look like an external disk drive to the computer ... any computer that supports USB drives.
 
How I do it , is export the tracks to the audio depot folder on the sd card using the tascam.

Take the card out, and place the card in the sd slot on your computer. It should read the card, open it, open the audio depot folder, and the tracks are there for copying to your computer

Ive windows 8.1 and it works fine

i GOT A 10 FT USB CORD AT BEST BUY TAKING THE CARD IN AND OUT IS A PAIN IN THE ASS
