That certainly is a glowing review! Thank you very much. I gotta say that Crawdad is the man... I don't think he's heard this yet, I haven't seen him around in a while. Probably busy like me... I just get a few minutes here and there. You're probably right about re-tracking, I'll do it right next time and make it a real recording. Or maybe like you say.. get "dad" to do it up right. Man that would be too cool! Thanks for the listen and the props.

Thanks for the listen dude. Thanks for the suggestions as well! The early vox are just sorta buried and whispered at the same time.. not much more I can do with em. The acoustic is an OLD Ovation with bad pots actually run through a V-Amp AND mic'd.. three inputs to the mixer. The buzz you hear is the electronics end of it from the pots. I'd like to be able to get that outta there but all the inputs went to one track. Thanks for the compliments too!

This is a great song, a real campfire tune. I enjoyed it a lot and I thought the vocals were nice throughout.

A little percussion to this and it would be complete, it is meant to be an acoustic tune.

That's what I thought all along, and that's why I tried to do the live one take thing. It just didn't turn out the way I planned. Honestly, I never thought about any percussion... hmmm, there's a thought! I do want to thank you for the compliments, that's the charge we all need to keep us posting.

From your description of how you recorded this it sounds damn good. And I wish my picking was as bad as yours :rolleyes: :D.

Your voice sounds good here. I would love to hear this in a higher bit rate.

I didn't analyze this song in depth, from a first, second & third listen perspective it sounds like a good song.

Good Tune!

This i agree is very natural sounding. Very good songwriting as well. I think that a tiny bit of verb in spots would help to even out the vox a bit. very nice song.

Glad to hear things are going well for you, are you getting any response to your tunage? I'm going to pitch this one, my first pitch as a songwriter... ever! I did re-encode it at 160kbps, I also did a little more tweekin here and there.. have a listen and see how bad I screwed it up this time.
