Darnold, we have charted them for the live hit.

I actually after the keyboard horn part was laid searched around for horn players (10 pc section) that wouldnt break the bank :) But they all wnate upwards of 1500 + to play a simple already charted part. Not for me at this stage of the game. maybe this next album :)

A Latin Horn section would be perfect though :)

1500? yaowza!!

I have an able pet, sax and bone - section LOL:) Latin at that. They are busy of course. but if you're interested, I can check to see if they wanna do it-schedule permiting of course. Can record @ my place. If not(since your current project is done) I may be able to get a sample run for the next project?

Sounds pretty good from what I heard, but I've been remixing my entry all afternoon (since my original attempt was found to have some abnormalities in some of the tracks) and my ears had heard the song enough & went on strike when I started listening to your version... lol

I think my mix is pretty close now to being ready for submission too.. I'll lock it in the drawer for 2 or 3 days and then give it a relisten... we have 'til the 21st right?

Your mix sounds kinda trebley, and lacking the low mids and lows. Some of your perc. sounds a little bit loud, especially the conga bend. Also your lead double sounds a little loud for a double and it cramps the lead vox's style, rather than backs it up. Your backup vox sound a little loud, and panned a little too far out also. I think once you take another swipe at it, you'll have a pretty solid mix here.

Ok heres another go..let me know what cha's think
Personally i like the other one...but lets see what this one brings!

It's been a while since I've been around these parts as I was completing my last year of high school this year.

This is my first attempt at this style of music. I usually mix rock bands. It was a fun experience and good practice.

Tukkis :)

There was a problem with my MP3. I reconverted the file in a different program and reposted it.

Your thoughts on my (long)shot at "Broken Vessel"

Hey.
My first post.
Why not jump right in...
Please critique my mix of Broken Vessel. You can find it here;

I mix ITB and have been doing it for 2 years.

I would appreciate any feedback. Except the kind you get from guitar amps :D

I was able to play it at work using WinAmp, but here at home I still get an error with Media Player 9...

But from what I heard at work on the internal computer speaker, it sounded a bit tinny....

Coulda been on my end tho... :D

(Ya think?)

I like the sound you're getting on the vocals, but the horns are lost in the mix....

Again tho, my ears aren't an impartial judge on this song since I was tweaking on it all day yesterday...

I've done a new mix since yesterday.
The Horns? Kinda hard not to let them over power the rest without drowning them. The "stabs" need to come through but I still think in this particular song the horns part are more harmonic than percussive

Geet,

you have a sampling rate problem, sound kinda chipmunk-ey to me... But nice mix nonetheless.

Yep. Way too fast.

Ah, shit. Oops. I'll fix it when I get back from practice. Thanks for the heads up.
