Sweetwater, Full Compass, B&H, Broadcast Supply Warehouse, Parts Express, Markertek, Mouser, or for than matter Musician's Friend, American Musical Supply or zZounds. Always have a Plan B. If a store doesn't treat you well let them know that you'll be taking what could have been their money to a competitor.

Musician's Friend is owned by GC. So go ahead :p
As for Sweetwater giving deals, GC price matches, which I know isn't exactly the same, but most of the time you can get one of the manager's there to make sure you get the best deal. I, for one, would rather sell at a lower price than not sell at all. Within reason, obviously. Just don't be a dick about it and people will help you out.
 
We all know that craigslist is where it is at. I have never had a problem with GC as they have been pretty good to me but I'd much rather buy from someone on cl that doesnt know what they are talking about and selling it cheap than someone at gc who doesnt know what he's talking about and selling it for twice as much.
 
I am lucky enough to have a good friend who is a manager at GC. There is a level of discount they are able to give if you just ask. Though, I find myself enjoying the discounts and having it delivered with candy. :D
 
I had this crazy dream last night.

Update...up until this past saturday, the last email i recieved was saying they were expecting my item by DEC 9th i believe it was...
then this past saturday, I got another backorder email, saying that they are expecting my item sometime in the next 30 days..LOL..and offered my money back if I did`nt want to wait..

then the next day (sunday)..I got another email saying my item has arrived and been shipped..
so it looks like by tomaro, I should finally have my item..

it may have taken a month and a half, but by golly, I`m gonna get it after all..LOL

will I buy from guitar center again..YES...but will I check other places to see if they have it in stock first...YES..LOL

it is what it is..it`s not their fault they were out of stock really..
but had I of known that, i may have just ordered it somewhere else..but it was`nt until after I rendered the cash, that they said it was not in stock dispite the fact that they listed it as bieng so..
anyway, no biggy, life goes on..
