Written a song that you REALLY REALLY like?
Songwriting can be so many things. For me sometimes they come out of thin air, sometimes I am motivated by a circumstance or event.
Some make no sense, some are reflections of my silly ass brain wanting to know the meaning of life, love and death.
As I dive into this Logic pro thing I decided to try and record one that came about several years ago that I thought is kind of catchy.
What's weird is it is about a guy telling his story of being told by his girlfriend that though she really loves him, she's found somebody new and "it's over" He tells her stop what she's saying and makes it clear no one is ever going to love her the way he does.....but in the end ... it's over.
Though I have been in love, lost at love, had a broken heart the story within this song is not something that actually happened to me.
As I have been playing with the building of the recording I have really fallen for this one..it just pulls on my heart strings and I feel for this poor son of a gun because I have definitely lost at love before.
Again I have no idea where the musical ideas and lyrics came from on this one they just happened.
So hopefully real soon I will complete a version worthy of sharing and I'll put it out there...It is so much not my normal style of song but there it is.
