Line out question on Tube 5150 II

    NO! You need a load, plain and simple. The tubes have nothing to do with it. The output tranny needs a load.

    $100 for a rap mic....yo

    FOOL! THOU HAST BEEN OWNEDST!!! Wait, what? This thread was funny. You took it too seriously. You were "owned" and then felt bad about it and decided that, in fact, you "owned" dwarf. This is not the case. This is not just a joke, this is the joke. The joke of all jokes. Laugh with your belly...

    Metal songs require vocals

    Hey, are you still looking for some vocals to this? I can lay some down similar to Death, Incantation, Immortal-type stuff. Hell, I'll probably do it anyway. Pretty cool songs.

    Help me with this mix!

    Hey all. I'm working on my band's demo and am trying to get a base mix down for a general idea of how I'm going to mix the other songs. The album I want to pseudo-reference is Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence by Glassjaw. Pretty Lush is pretty much the defining song for the mix...

    DIY Fender Telecaster

    Everything I've played from Warmoth has been top notch. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with them. If you're wanting to do it from scratch, the only thing I can tell you is do your research. PG.com and MIMF.com are great resources.

    How Many Guitars do you own

    I currently play all of these weekly: BC Rich Warlock (Bronze) Washburn BT-2 Ibanez RX170 Ibanez RG320DX (currently undergoing a trem to hardtail conversion) Ibanez GiO (some random series, plays surprisingly well) Gibson SG And am currently building a Les Paul. Mahogany body, oak top...

    Back for more opinions.

    Hardcore should be recorded at the most horrible quality possible. No, but seriously. This doesn't sound bad for this kind of stuff. It makes it way more "punk" and "DIY" and kids love that. Seriously.

    Let me know what you think of my new song

    Some people just can't appreciate this spacey kind of stuff. I liked February 28th a lot. It has a nice feel to it and is recorded well. January 2nd stirred some emotion inside me. It reminded me heavily of Jon Brion's stuff. It could be a bit longer and have a change in progression, but you...

    minimal processing metal

    I was recently in attendance at a very good death metal show, and 4 out of 6 drummers were using kick triggers. It was some of the fastest double bass work I have ever heard. Nice sounding drums. I'm gonna have to work on my setup a bit. What kind of compression were you using?

    Repost ==> The Struggle

    The mix is alright, but for deathgrind it should be a bit dirty. Put a little distortion on the drums, a harsher EQ on the guitars, something. It just doesn't punch you in the face like deathgrind should.

    Little bit of film music

    Sounds really good so far. I'm getting into Edirol Orchestra myself, so this has served as a bit of inspiration for me.

    Repost ==> The Struggle

    It'd be better if the drums were real. The guitars are much too clean for this. Tune them to around drop A# and record the same thing. Then you'll be able to call it brutal.

    New live recording from *gasp* my band!

    Whoa... you know Pat? Oh wait I just remembered the names are on the page. That could have been really weird. We just wrote this song about 4 days ago and our second guitarist was learning it for about 3 hours until we recorded it. Our vocalist is working on lyrics and vocals. We are a really...

    New live recording from *gasp* my band!

    Any input whatsoever is helpful, seriously. Everyone I ask personally says they like the song, but if I ask in a forum or something, I get little or no response. It's weird. Is there anything in the structure of the song that you don't like? Any parts that stick out like a sore thumb? Anyway...

    Crituqe my Stoner Metal Mix please

    You should check out Pelican if you haven't already. This really reminds me more of Alice in Chains and bands of the like more than stoner metal. It's probably because of the vocals though. Mix sounds okay, but isn't very "alive." Guitars need more power and snare needs more low-end.
