    Two New Ones

Thanks. You are right about the mix. I should re- do it. You like the photos, huh? The gear I used on those songs was a Korg D-8 recorder, two Audio Tecnica condenser mikes, a Behringer mixer, a Boss DR-770 drum box, a Strat, a Paul, a National Resolectric, a 100$ "made in India" bass, a guitar...

    Two New Ones

Hey everybody. These are the last songs I will be recording and uploading to mp3.com/mitchellmorgan for awhile, everything is torn down and in boxes it's moving time. I was sick as a dog when I recorded "A Fresh Coat" and it took almost two weeks, "Rain Town #1" got recorded in one day pretty...

    Sound Forge 5.0

I just got an E-mail from Sonic Foundry saying I can upgrade my Sound Forge 4.5 XP to their new 5.0 for $99. What do you think, should I do it?

Do a lot with not much

Come to think of it, there were more than a few nutty teachers around when I was in school. Mrs Haight drank too much and would pass out on her desk, there was another guy, Mr. Fast who talked to his pencil, "Now Woody, I'm going to have to sharpen you now", "Woody they are'nt listening again"...

Do a lot with not much

Me again. How y'all doing? I got another tune over at http://www.mp3.com/mitchellmorgan it's mostly me showing off on the open "E" slide electric again but you may find the drum programing interesting. It's called "Mr Stoughton's Vacation" I got an Alesis SR-16 slaving a Boss 770 and an Alesis...

Making Machines Groove, Swing, Rock, Whatever

Thanks you all for the feedback. A band? Soon, maybe. I'm playing a Jackson Stealth or a L.P. with Seymour Duncan picups through an ART SGX preamp box through Alesis EQ and compressor through Electro-Voice amp and speakers. I play a little above conversation level and mike the speakers.

Making Machines Groove, Swing, Rock, Whatever

P.S. By the way, I mix down to Alesis Monitor One speakers and have an Alesis 3630 compressor in the the guitar rack. Check it out and you tell me. Peace and all that. M.M.

Making Machines Groove, Swing, Rock, Whatever

Check it out.... It's not much of of a song but the tremelo on the guitar in the left speaker really makes the rhythm move. http://www.mp3.com/mitchellmorgan "Drivin' Me Nuts #1". It's the song with the picture of the pizza. As usual the download sounds way better.M.M.

    The Muse

There are times when just I can't seem to let the Muse come in and insperate my inner program. What do you all grownups here do for inspiration? Drive 150 MPH? Mota, Zen, Underwater photography? The electromagnetic spectrum? Geologic time? Pleasure? Toxic pleasure? Help me out, here. I need...

    Re-mix

Why not? E-mail me through my mp3 site with your adress we'll talk gear and whatever. By the way, the mystery prosessor was the time expander/compressor. The louder parts were sped up slightly and the quieter parts the opposite to give the changes a more realistic feel.

    Re-mix

You are so close, but no. Listen real close around 3:05. [This message has been edited by HoGung (edited 07-30-2000).]

Was'nt that first guy some kind of Russian Bolchevic?

    Re-mix

You're getting warm. The prosessor in question is one where you have to take in the song as a whole. The subliminal sounds are a police/fire scanner I recorded during a lightning storm.

    most hated song

At the dentist the other day they had one of those"sunny" or "magic" FM stations going and even though it was only a check up I was wanting the nitrous when Muscrat Love by the Captain and Tenille came on followed by Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band. Did you know Billy Cobam played...
