been a long time since i posted on here.....but im back seriously this time and im making some money so now i can finally buy equipmet......i dont have alot to spend cause of bills etc....still havent changed genres...still loving hip hop....im supposed to be getting a little mixer this month...
probably a dumb question. how do you get the so called(chipmunk sound) that ya hear on some of kanyes songs? when i was a kid we used to like speeding up tape to hear it.how is it done in studios? :o
i said in an earlier post that a friend of mine had a band that he wanted to record,my question what size mixer would be appropriate for the task.thier dominican so they like thier band music. theres about 4 or 5 of them.
1 on drums,1 on the keyboard,1 on electric guitar,1 possibly on acoustic...
im tracking a few rap vocals,i just wanted to know are the boyz round here picky when it comes to rap and microphones,i mean do you prefer 1 mic over the other or do you just have like 1-3 mics that covers all types of vocals?
give me your list of mics that could cover 90% of vocals or more...
