Teac 5 0dBv output -- interesting feature embarassed me

Well, I'd been using it more or less as an instrument mixer, not really paying attention much, and the switches on the back were switched to high. Then went to test out w/ the little Fostex A-8 (four busses you know...) and to my surprise 0VU on the Fostex was -7VU on the Teac 5. :confused::confused::confused:

But 0VU on my other board, was 0VU on the Fostex. So after scratching my head for about 45 minutes, I decided to look at the manual, and in the schematic is a switch indicating -10 or 0 dB. :spank: Duh. It's on the back, low, or high. Mmmh. Wondering now why I'd want 1volt output instead of .3v?
