Thanks for the positive comments guys!
Daniel, video would show the LED's still flickering on several of the channel strips that have not been given the DeoxIT treatment...don't think that feature was there when new...but the
still shots look good.

Hey, consider its appearance the result of inspiration stemming from the condition of your 48!
I just feel good having it out of the less climate controlled area outside the "control room" as the autumn weather approaches...a burden lifted. Its clean, its in a controlled space and I can leisurely clean up the internals as time permits or a project demands.
Dave (Hilltop Studios)! How are you? MS-16, right? How is it running these days?
The Tascam gear under the 520 is an RS-20B. Aside from my 58 and 48 decks, it was really the tipping point that got me going on snatching up more good deals on these well-built examples from the 80's era Tascam line. The RS-20B is a dual-spring stereo (read 4 springs) reverb unit with built-in HPF and limiter. Below it out of view is the power supply for the 520. The open spaces will have a couple Teac PB-64 RCA patchbays that still need some cleaning up. Over in the other rack what I believe you are questioning as line mixers are a pair of PE-40 4-channel 4-band fully-parametric equalizers...so that's 8 channels. Each channel also has two HPF's and one LPF as well.
Maybe a bit superfluous now with the M-520...We'll see.
There's gear down below on right hand rack as well...digital I/O and pre's but among them dwells an MX-80 8-channel pre from Tascam as well...truly superfluous now except that the right hand rack is designed as a self-contained 24-channel portable digital recording rig. Throw in a laptop and away you go. The MX-80 is part of the preamp lineup for that.
Now with the
Tascam M-___ joining the herd in a week and a half, I'm really going to need to make some decisions here at some point and thin.
