Ok, so when i install the delta 44, it changes my audio properties of the computer so there's no soundcard for music and shit on the computer, but when i take it out, it comes back. I tried adjusting it in the audio properties area of the computer and it is an unclickable thing that says "no audio device" so it won't let me change it. Does this mean i have to run all music through the m-audio (which would mean my cpu speakers would be connected to my mixer)? Thanks guys, I hope to hear by tonight cause I"m going to Washington D.C. till monday so if anyone responds after tonight i'll be missing it.

I'd say use two of the outs on the 44 to the tape/cd in on your board and plug your speakers into the headphone/control room out. Just leave it so that the two outs you use to the tape/cd in are still accessible so you can use them for other things too should you need to. This is all, of course, assuming that your board has those two features.

Where did you try to change the drivers for windows sound? Control panel ----> sounds and audio devices, then click the audio tab. There you should be able to select the "default audio device" for playback and recording. Sorry if this is actually what you already tried.

I tried that but all that it lets me choose is M-Audio Delta 44.

The Delta 44 is ALL the soundcard you will need. The first thing I did on my new PC was disable the onboard sound from the BIOS. All audio on my PC goes through the Delta - Windoze sounds, listening to CDs/mp3s from WMP, cute little movies on the WWW, and some games (Elf Bowling!)

I also have the 1202 VLZ Mixer, so PM me if you want some suggestions on setting it all up.
