here's a couple of photos for you
Cool, they look bigger than I imagined.

yes they are quite big, around 2x4 feet... so it's worth measuring to see if they will fit first. I am lucky because I will be able to fit 2 on top of each other and it fits with no gaps, this is my plan when I get more to cover the floor to ceiling space. I still have a lot of work to do though before I'll be happy with the bass response in my room, and I've been thinking of getting some range limited ones with the scatter plates for the next batch, they absorb more bass and yet diffuse the high end which sounds like it would be ideal, because in my room I do a lot of tracking as well as mixing/mastering, I don't have the luxury of two rooms.Cool, they look bigger than I imagined.
Just placed an order on some 242 panels from GIK. I couldn't afford any bass traps as of yet and figured I'll start with the first reflection points and wait a month for some bass trapping. Well, it's a start![]()
good call! I think if there's nothing there at the moment it should make a difference especially with imaging, would be good if you let us all what difference it makes

So mine is finally on the way in the mail from England, scheduled for delivery next week. How did you install them to your wall? Do they come with a wire like the 242s do?
Iv'e read you need upwards of 12 in some cases, depending on room shape and the material the walls are made of. Btyre-your walls look like they are made of rendered concrete plastered over brick, do you find that you have a lot more trouble with lows because of that?
Reason I ask is I'm moving into a new place soon, new studio room will be a big space, thin walls, and I was thinking of making some fibre traps but now I'm thinking of purchasing some instead after reading this.
They have arrived! HUGE difference! I can't believe I haven't done this before.
Turns out my mixes are pretty terrible so I've got some work to do now![]()
What is worse, knowing the things didn't work or finding out our mixes were bad?![]()

Doesn't really matter if the mixes were bad, does it?
