Well i just got off the phone with M-Audio tech support he says its probably my midi cable.
On the lower right hand part of my screen, on the little cakewalk meter by my clock the left light was flickering real fast. And when i hit a key only the right light would light up the left would still be flickering. So he had me switch midi cable ends around so the end plugged into the motif would now be in the card and vice versa. Well the left meter stopped flickering but still only the right would respond when i hit a key. So i am returning the midi cable and getting a new one.

And yes moskus i know you origionally told me to look at that meter. And i did before i did the os reinstall also. :)

Ha! LOL you are right. I thought it was moskus for some reason.. Probably because he had the most posts trying to help me lol.

He's always got the most posts...that cos he's from Norway and he ain't got anything else better to do cos the beer costs $15 a shot. And his mother smokes a pipe. Says its to keep the mosquitos away:eek: Like there are any mosquitos in Norway:rolleyes: :D (no offence moskus, we love you really. Well James does. Or is it Pedulist?)

Yeah, but you didn't make such a big deal of it... You loose! :D

And it's not quite $15 for a beer... closer to $12.5! Just kidding it's around $6.25... You guys would never survive here!

:D :D :D

So anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be from the new info?

There certainly wouldn't be much money left over for the wife and kids though  (hmmm, now thats got me thinking....)

Are you getting MIDI-signals into the computer at all? Can you record MIDI?

My left lights flickers like crazy too (when using one of my keyboards), but I've no problem with recording MIDI with it.

No it dosent record MIDI. :(

And you are shure you've set up the MIDI track correctly?

Well i am pretty sure i do... I feel kinda dumb sayin this lol but its no secret that i am new to this so fuck it. Will you list the steps so i can make sure? Thanks!
Also do you have any messenger service such as AIM, MSN, or ICQ? If you do what do you have and whats your sign in name?

Check your PM (under User CP at the top of this page... ;))

Don't give up

Don't give up on Tech support. All tech support go through the simple stuff first like, "Is your computer plugged in?" Make them help you.

I also have problems with midi that have not been resolved. I can get the Midi in to work but not midi out. The had me switch cables, change the PCI slot, reassign IRQ's. Even if you have to do some of that, make them help you. Don't let them get away with sending you on wild goose chases. It's laziness on their part.
