The desk is perfectly straight! It must be something funny in the picture! There are a load of support beams to make sure it doesnt bend!

I dont want to go overkill on the traps so im keeping it at 7... remember I have my 3 soffits and a corner unit aswell, it should be plenty
Need a cloud in my opinion...

nice doghouse you're building (thats the correct name for it right?)

question about it: is it best to attach this doghouse to the wall, or to have space between it? And would you completely fill it with fibreglass or only like 'the outer borders'?

I guess its a bit late, the lighting is already in :/
Lol, ok. You'll still get good results with just the side first reflection points done, although you will still get a reflection from the ceiling.

soffits finished

most of the woodwork done
going to start building my absorbers asap
and framework for the vocal booth to hold the monitor

Looking good. Never noticed the sink before. That'll affect your stereo imaging unless your broadband trap covers it, or you have a door.

I do believe its far foward enough so it wont be hit by the first reflection.. My first reflection absorber will be placed next to it. If I have any serious problems il make a gobo absorber to cover it.

Im really happy with how everything looking so far, finally coming together!

Im ready to make my absorbers now, would MDF be too heavy to use as a frame? I have loads of scraps i can use to make frames if so.

Otherwise should I just be going for some timber?

I saw where you installed dimmers for the lighting............you know they can cause interference in electronic equipment..........I had to order special shielded dimmers for use around electronics..........just a heads up in case you have a little buzz you can't track down...........nice job by the way...... :D

yea i checked these dimmers before i installed them to make sure they were buzz free!

A little update..
Today I built the back wall absorber in the booth, and I build the front obsorber which holds the computer monitor. I also put up some foam to see what it would sound like in there, and it really does sound unreal. Rockwool makes a HUGE difference. The sound in there is exactly as I would like the mic to pick it up. Completely dead, with no muffling. Im really happy with it!

I also started building my absorbers; after having an hour of problems with 'No more nails' glue, i decided nails were the best option. Ive never been so angry at a product before, i was fuming!

Il post pictures tomorrow, but for now im going to bed to itch away my rockwool imflamed skin =]

Gloves and long sleeves are your friend when working with insulation :P

Glad your getting the sound you wanted. It not too boomy?

Not boomy at all. Singing in there sounds like your singing with headphones on, all you hear is your own voice, clear as anything. Cant wait to record =]

i didn't think rockwool would aggravate skin like fiberglass does. for fiberglass, rub cornstarch on your skin before working with the insulation and take a cool shower afterward. it helps a lot. it might help with the rockwool too.

Working on the Booth....

Looking good.

That booth looks small. Is there going to be any windows or anything in there? I'd hate to be in there.
