I guess this one was 1989 or so. This is my old band. We mostly did 3 or 4 chord rock. We were all gathered in a room and recorded this live through a 14bit Sony F1 PCM A/D converter to Sony BETA tape. We were all excited because we were 'going digital' for the highest fidelity possible lol.
I played with a few different drummers over the years, and Mark was HANDS DOWN the busiest rock drummer I have ever met in my life. It used to make my head spin and still does - this is one of his tamer performances. I was playing my old tele through a carvin, Jim was playing a ric through a twin and the bass player was playing a nice natural american Pbass that was later stolen after a gig :-( The rythm guitars are criminally low and I could go back in time and shoot myself for that. This is one of the few times that I was given the latitude to play a 'solo' and still wish I hadn't.
I transferred into my daw, played with the EQ and bumped the overall levels up. Converted to 128kb mp3 for maximum fidelity haha...
