It will work. You'll have to try it first to determine if you like it. I've plugged guitars and basses into the CD inputs of practice amps, you just never know until you try. We all learn new tricks from each other, tell us what happens.
By the way, I'm new to this site and this is my first post. Merry Christmas, everyone.
 
Yes you can record directly into the fantomX. Just plug into the line in on the back and go and play. The sound will come through so you can play with the models until you find what you like, then you can record directly into it. It is really simple once you figure out where to go to do everything on that keyboard. The recorded sound on the fantomX is great and you also have an EQ to help tweek it if you need. It is all part of the modelers
