There's are a bunch of TLM103 Threads but i haven't answer my question.I Mainly Record Female, male Vocals and a little Nylon String Guitar on my studio. The Styles that i Record are Latin Pop,Tejano,Cumbia,Hip-Hop.And More Latin Styles.
My Setup is MOTU 828MKII,Neumann TLM103,Rode NTK,M-Audio Tampa,Presonus Eureka,ART VLA PRO,And A Pair of M-Audio DMP3.
So I am Trying to get the best set-up for the Money.I was thinking that My Neumann TLM103 I too Much and i could get 2 Used Mics to cover more Areas.

My Questions are:Wich Mic for less Price Give me Same or Similar as the TLM103?
What Would be A Nice Mic Setup (2 Mics) for My Recording Styles if i Keep the NTK and Sell the TLM103?

Im not sure but if you got rid of the Neumann you could have a variety of things...even though I know you had a KSM44...you could also have the AKG214 for arround 300 used...and get the SM7...Id keep the KSM27...and get a KSM32...maybe 2 of them.

I Sold the KSM27.....

What do you think About the AT4050 And The SM7b?I'll buy a KSM32 Latter...

Are you sure that I am not Loosing Quality Changing the TLM103 For The KSM32 Or The AT4050.Would the AKG214 Could be compared to the TLM103?

The AKG 214 is the cardiod only version of the C414 which is a better mic than the TLM103...so you will have many of your females and more operatic male tenors covered...the KSM32 is probubly the best instrument mic out there...and a few of the worlds top engineers say they would keep it arround as thier only mic...Id like to have 2...you are still planning on getting the SM7.

yeah,the sm7 and the AT4050 Or C214,OR KSM32

You should really have 2 matched to use as a pair for things like overheads...then a good vocal mic...after that you can look into different mics for diffenent voices and such.

Starting from scratch Id go for 2 KSM32s and the SM7...then add the c214...etc...I like the KSM44 better than my C414...it seems to be more user friendly...but you might like to go either way.

You have alot of pres...I have a few too...but I use the Line6 UX8 because of the versitility...you might look at that one...then sell some pres to get different mics.

Sounds good but i don't record Drums,so i don't think that i need a pair of mics for overheads i am using V-Drums and EZ Drummer, check out this 2 songs on our Myspace,I used the Tampa and the TLM103 http://www.myspace.com/skystudioshouston

So I got the NTK for Rock/Hip-Hop Voices and I am looking for the Sm7 for female voices and a Condenser Solid State like the TLM for those Ballads with transparent tone.

The SM7 should be fine for all vocals...The LDCs for the really nice clear sounding voices...use the Dynamic for people with alot of overtones.

Most anything in the AT40 series is a serious mic...and the KSM series is very good...you should try out each...do keep in mind that the KSM32 isnt a vocal mic so much as it is an instrument mic...but many say it is the best one out there.

I'm absolutely frickin' POSITIVE. I'd say either one of those mics smokes the TLM103 any day. But that's just my opinion.
