I am trying to record my Carvin Vintage 16 (in 5W Triode mode) with a shure sm57 through a Tascam US-224 into a Powerbook G4, and I have this hissing sound that I can't get rid of, anybody have any suggestions??

I just got a powerbook and want to hook up my US-224 but can't get it to work. I have the OS X driver from the site, but don't know how to use it. It is a .sit file, what the hell is that anyway??!?!?!? Please help out a confused first time mac user.

When I record on my US-224 a new track has a bleedover of the tracks I am dubbing from. Normally this is not a problem unkless I am using a midi click traks, then that click is there forever! Is there anyting I can do to fix this? Thanks
