Does anyone know what the differences/pluses/minuses about these programs are? Both are about the same price point & made by the same co.
& either would probably meet my needs.
FYI, I do both audio & MIDI.

It has a metal body (not plastic) & 1 or 2 broken buttons easily fixed. Original factory sounds plus a CD of additional stuff along w/a program to load them. Definitely vintage.
I'm thinking of getting something like a little Yamaha DGX200, 202, 203, 205 etc. for more updated sounds.
I'm posting this here cuz I don't know where else to post it, but I figured if anyone would be into something like this they might hang out here...
So, does anybody know of a reliable, non-latency-ridden means of jamming w/someone else in another city (or country, for that matter) in realtime...
I want to move some songs from Cakewalk into a standalone box, a Zoom 1044. The USB interface is hooked up between the computer & the 1044. What is the best way to do this? Do I need to locate the wave files & move them track by track?
So I broke down & got this little box used for cheap, cuz I was fed up w/my computer...it's pretty fun & easy to use, but I have a few questions so far. Any zoomers out there who could help here? At this point it's hard to tell if the problem is the machine or my inexperience with it.

Here's the situation:
2 musicians each playing a small acoustic instrument, & each player also singing from time to time.
The instrument is a solid-body kalimba-like thing about 8" square, called mbira. It's played held on the player's lap & seems to like nearfield micing from the back of the...
I just received a used Zoom MRS1044 & the reverb/send button is jammed crookedly under the surface of the machine. Is there an easy way to fix this or would it require opening up the whole darn box from the bottom? I already tried to push it back into place with some teeny tweezers but it didn't...
If I have only 2 xlr inputs & 1 phantom power switch for the both of them, is there any safe way to record w/both a condenser & dynamic mic at the same time?
Would this be possible w/an external preamp on one of them?
anyone know where to get something that would work for a good price? I picked up a couple at GC a while ago & w/the sale prices, the shockmounts were almost as much as the mics!
Since these 2 machines are at the same price point, does anyone have the user experience to compare these 2 machines? in terms of:
quality of sound, fx, pre's, noise, size of screen, stability, portability,
& any other aspects you think important.
