How's this laptop for recording?

Office Depot has this laptop on sale for $549 (after rebates):

built in 802.11 wireless LAN networkability
6-in-1 memory card reader

whaddya think? Is this a good machine for recording?
 
I recently bought a notebook computer and made sure it had a firewire port.

I can record just fine with 512MB RAM.

My Tivo can record video and 2 channels of audio while simultaneously playing back a different video/audio stream and it has 16MB RAM.
