I'm looking to start recording on my computer. I already have tracktion 2 software and windows xp pro...All i need is a good soundcard...my price range is 150.00 to 200.00.... the only thing that will be connected to the sound card is yamaha motif and studio monitors.

I currently use my sony stereo to monitor my recordings....I only do music not vocals....Why should i invest in some good studio monitors? what are some of the advantages?
