I'll be bold and step out and say that the people that seemed like they did the most flaming of these experienced guys, sounded like they REALLY belonged in the amatuer(like need big-time help) catagory at the MP3 clinic, as compared to some of the really good stuff that you frequently hear there. (that is if they even posted anything either
). I think that says a lot in itself, and I'd like Alan to take notice of such thing. Brent too.... and an early welcome aboard.

studio projs is coming out with a little mic preamp with "tube drive" (toob) for 200$?
b******** has a big tube drive preamp for 200$!
what we need is a real tube 2 channel preamp for 500$ or less!
we want nice sounding all tube signal paths for cheap!

It is very obvious why I left this group. The mere mention of my name starts Mutt and Jeff flamming me all over again. I am happy that Harvey said as much in his post. Thank you Harvey 
I think HR is a good thread, and I really would like to hang here. The problem is with a few guys wanting to act as God for the rest of the group by inflicting their will on the others no matter what the others think. I suppose if these offenders had so much knowledge to offer the group, they would have their own audio companies and forums as well.
I respect that HR does not interfere, but there has to be a point where one says enough is enough. No one wants to walk the streets and be mugged everytime they take a walk, and no one wants to get mugged every time they make a post or answer a direct question.
Maybe Brent Casey will have better luck, but I know he will not stand for any flamming and he will leave very quickly if that happens.
As for the rest of you who do support me and enjoy my posts or assistance, and even my New York kind of manner..
you can show that support by coming over to recording.com and jump on my forum as well. Harvey will be there, as will Brent, Malcolm Toft, Steven Paul, and many other pro audio related guest appearances.
I am not asking you to ban HR, I am just saying spend some time with us at RO...you just might like it. I am not in to censorship at all, but there is no need for harrasment here and there will be none at RO, as that will not be tolerated.

The real value of this board to me is the free lessons I get from the VERY FEW people with loads of PRO experience. I mean DECADES of pro experience.
Their number on this board has dwindled. In fact, it's nearly down to one.
There's a bit of the soul of an artist in the best recordists, and they are necessarily sensitive types. Sermons about having a thick skin on the internet are irrelevant. If we got what we deserved, we'd none of us be getting free advice from pros.
Near worthless amatuer opinion abounds on the web. You needn't travel far to hear someone who's just returned from the guitar mart with his first large diaphram condenser tell how it rocks, man! I value this less than bodily waste.

Each person will have to make up his or her own mind. It's what adults do. And as far as most of us are concerned, political and economic rants in recording equipment forums - especially those whose purpose is to interrupt an existing discussion about recording equipment - fall into the CHAFF category.
