I could go with the same tired joke and say he's too old for you, but that was never funny.

+1I've been to Audiofanzine several times now, and gone through many of the forums in fine detail, going all the way back to the first forum posts. What strikes me is the simplicity of the answers there, and very few long threads. I'm concerned that many of the moderators there aren't qualified to answer a lot of the general questions that are posted here, based on what I've read there.
Bad answers, and incomplete answers, don't help people solve their problems. I'd really like to know who the moderators are going to be here, their backgrounds, and levels of expertise.
If moderators plan to take an active role here, I feel they should introduce themselves in the appropriate forums.
Just my 2¢.
One of the first threads I looked at was just plain wrong. That doesn't inspire with any confidence.
I'm sure you'll find a few "just plain wrong" threads on any forum. Sometimes they are just plain wrong, and sometimes it's a matter of opinion. But anyway, that's what forums are for: to get your 2cts in.
Plus I agree with Gidge on this one, answering questions should be up to the membership. Admins usually have other pressing things to do: like debating on what to do with the krockstar and his ilk....![]()
You really have to "debate" that one,![]()
How come the Audiofanzine Test Forum doesn't show in the Forum Homes list?

speaking of 2 cents...if you ban cockstar for being stupid (and he IS that all day long) you are setting a precedent that will keep you busy for years to come...
That should read "current"![]()

IF we had signatures, you wouldn't have posted that.![]()
Why do you say that? I have no affiliation with that site. or are you just bustin my chops?![]()

He used to have that in his signature.
Naiant ....mshilarious is Niant Microphones.
The electronics are beyond me, but I'm not gonna argue with him about terminology.)

Condenser mics are much the commonest type of studio mic. They come in all shapes and sizes, but all need powering, either by a power supply particular to the mic, by phantom power down the audio cable, or by battery. They have a rise in their response at around 8-12kHz, which gives them a present, bright sound and made them very popular for close miking of solo voices.
