If you really knew what you were doing, you wouldn't have a 32 band graphic equalizer in your equipment list.

Personally, I have no use for any keyboard with less than 88 keys, but that just me.

Emu doesn't make anything that'll ever see my rack.

Yamaha aw4416? OK. If it works for you, I guess.

Seems like you have a lot of pro-sumer, mid-level stuff. Nothing I'd drool over but, if you set up your room right you'll get an ok sound.

What are you going to do so profound with 12 extra keys? I mean c' mon, and If you don't Like Emu then you haven't used them...... Everyone that I have got an opinion from said (on this site) that the emu was nice to have..... and BTW I'm not rich!! $8,000.00 to $9,000.00 is enough of equip. for me........ well atleast until this tax season,lol!!

This whole thread was about you guys having nice setups and It turned into a war of me not joining this site sooner (my status)? I was complimenting your studios and dogging mine, WTF?

I play a lot of classical pieces that call for those "extra keys".
But they're not really extra. Your keyboard is just missing a few. ;)
I've heard emu. Wasn't impressed. But if you like it, great!

Nobody's doggin' your proposed studio dude. I told you if you set it up right you could get an ok sound from it.

Which implies that MOST of the people here don't. And it just doesn't seem like you've been around long enough to make that kind of ascertation.
You just rubbed the grain the wrong way is all.

Then you say you have pricey toys, and list a bunch of mid-level gear. :rolleyes:

Anyway, once you get through the initiation of newbie flaming, and if you stick around, there are people here that can help you.

Im really surprised at how quickly this thread turned to a pile of nonsense. When I first read this thread this morning I didn't find anything other than someone saying who knew about recording and had a bit of studio envy the thread started out in a upbeat.

You guys can be your own worst enemies with the gain cranked so hard on the troll alert you can't see past minute typing errors in which none of us are immune.

The equipment list has some good stuff and some not so good stuff, the AW4416 alone is a fine peice of hardware which you can produce a very professional piece of work.

Remember this is a homerecording forum where most folks started out on some pretty crappy gear and some still have 4 tracks. Quit trying to pretend this is the recpit where newbies are instantly pounced upon. Hazing is alot of fun if thats what your expecting. Lets treat people with a little dignity and nurture some folks. The last thing this bbs needs is to create another deflamed carrot.
