Firepod
Pat...Just wanted to mention that the Firepod seems to be exactly what I was describing..I'm guessing it connects firewire (someone answer this for me please) and as long as each imput goes to the software seperately this would be great... Also dude has a good point about buying a controller... That would make it a great setup... Also the All in one box guy has some very good points, the best one in my opinion being that you shouldn't use the computer for anything else and that you should back up your work... Think zip drive or something that can save and resave... You may want to consult with a computer geek about the computer that you would need/want and especially if you don't want to be a computer programmer yourself.... (Also a good point by the all in one box guy)... Still though i have to agree that those boxes are still too pricey (especially the ones that connect to a computer monitor) and from my experience some programs are better than others for certain situations and I like being able to bounce back and forth (being careful not to lose quality)....Thanks for the insight into the firepod as this is something I've been studying closely... If anybody can give me insight into comparable products and good controllers it would be appreciated... I would like to be able to mixdown like on the boss recorders so I could adjust levels during a mixdown in order to make a smoother final product without all the mouse clicking... Appreciate it!
