I agree, this is not a friendly exchange but as I said, it is a cultural thing. I just find boastful, strutting, braces twanging people hard to like. I dare say The guy is not that keen on me either!

I have been active on audio forums for over ten years (you can find me as "ef37a" goo'on! ask me why! on soundonsound and as ecc83 here and another Brit called "thefretboard" Check 'em out and I am sure they will tell I am not a bad chap.

The opinion I shared above has nothing to do with you, friend. Or any other individual. It's the big picture - over the long haul that I'm talking about. Some of these things have a vibe, a culture. This one just happens to be a little dark, imo. I assume that's one reason it's so dead here.

If it were up to me - I'd give this place a big makeover and get the door swinging.
