I have a tsr-8 reel that was intermittently cutting out on the output channels. Also had a burn or hot smell. Then it just went out altogether.I still have input channels and everything else works just no output. My question is,since the inputs and outputs are all part of the motherboard circuitry, would replacing this board solve my problem.I have a working board that came from another tsr-8.Or are the outputs on or pat of some other amp circuit.I am not an electronics expert but I can replace a circuit board.Just don't want to do it if it's not going to help.Thanks.

Burnt smells are only cool around campfires. Check fuses but typically it's an overcurrent situation that burns out components, or it's a capacitor that got old and popped. I'd swap out the motherboards to see if you can get it working ok again then visually inspect the first board.

Yeah,I'm gonna give that a try first and hope it works. It will save me a lot of time and money if it works. Thanks for your input.
