The point of comparing mics to a U-47 is that most people have never worked with a U-47, but the U-47 has attained a legendary status. According to the marketing theory known as "the sheep factor", all people involved in recording feel they must have a U-47, but simply can't find nor afford a U-47 that is in good working order... so... you have all kinds of sub-par microphone companies that will say that their product is similar to a U-47... except in the case of Soundelux where their E-47 really does have similar characteristics to several very good U-47's I've used... and works better in application than 75-80% of the U-47's I've met along the way.
