Always wanted a guitar in this sea foam green. There's been at least 2-3 different brands/models with that color that I've had in my sights over the years.
This one is certainly a sweet looking guitar!

He has a bunch of guitars that color. And an amp, cables, shoes, etc. The G&L I posted a pic and tones of a few pages back is his. But this LP is just incredible. Here's a pic of him playing it and a pic of me playing my '62 re issue in sea foam green. If I can find a clip of me playing the Tele at a gig, I'll post it. If not, I'll try to put something together.

He's using a Carvin of some sort. He gets great blues tones. He also made some wacky JagMaster in sea foam green with parts from Warmouth. I'll see if I can find a pic of that. Off to try to record some tones for the thread.

And to double the oddity and mystery of that guitar i was browsing southpaw guitars facebook page a few months ago and they had a lefty version of this LP. P90's and all i reckon. Beautiful.

Wow! man. That dude's got some nice guitars. I'm a lefty, but I prefer turning righties upside down. I can understand someone needing a lefty Les Paul, because of the body. But the cutaway on an SG or a Strat makes them perfectly playable for lefties. Dude still has some mouth watering guitars, though.

I'm using a MIM Strat with Lindy Fralin pups (I think they Blues Specials, middle/bridge position) through a '66 Bassman head into a 2x12" closed cab. The guitar is strung with flatwound 12's. Right channel is a Sennheiser E609 and the left channel is a Shure SM57. I'm using a TS9DX Tube Screamer with the gain all the way down and the level all the up. Amp Volume is on 6, Treble and Bass are on 7. Bright switch off.

He also took me and my wife to Southpaw and that store is just, yea, amazing for myself there aren't enough words to describe it. was Very overwhelemd. And he says he will take any lefty guitar and 'turn it' as he called it, so that it is a lefty body strung like a righty. Taylor Guitars will do it for free, but he charges 100 to turn any lefty guitar. Once my job gets a bit more stable i may look into selling off some of my righties and get a nice Quality turned lefty

Hehe...Well, actually I meant that I get the nut changed and flip the strings over. But, being a drummer, for years before I owned a guitar, the only guitars I played were those that belonged to the guitar player in whatever band I was in. So, I actually got pretty good at playing a guitar literally upside down. It's actually how I learned to play guitar. But eventually, I got a guitar and turned the strings over so that it was left-handed for real.

I dig it. I like that you used a 2x12. It sounds nice and thick to me at work. Question about your 2X12. Do you have it right on the floor or do you have it up on anything?

just kidding. The guys at my music store have been trying to push me to learn to play a proper lefty. I think it would be easy enough for the most part. It would be cool to actually be able to play both way to be honest. I think noodling, soloing would be way easier on a proper strung guitar. I find playing the way i do i hit open strings in places i shouldn't. Meh.

I can still do a lot of stuff upside down. I remember that, if I played upside down for a month, I'd have trouble playing the proper way for about a week, and then vice versa. So, it might take you a week or so, but you'd be able to learn and get used to it pretty quick.

It's all practice really. I am sure it would be a piece of piss in no time. Or be practical and just have one playing style for one purpose? Like learn proper string for soloing and real big boy chords, and then upside down so i can really hammer down a real solid rhythm track power chord stuff? Ihave a tendency to really be aggresive when playing. Who knows. I'd just have to stop jabbering about it and just do it to find out.

Little update to the Marshall theme for Reaper...Still a lot to do, but I'm learning & making progress....I see a couple boo-boo's I need to fix, but no biggie...
I actually do really like the record-arm buttons, I made 'em from pics of the on/off switch from a real amp....There's a couple/few more little things in there like that too, like the record mode (input/output) which are 1/4" jacks, & the fx on/off button, which I made from pics of a JVM's front panel (I have better buttons made now which look a lot more like these here, but you get the idea)...
I had a little switch for the polarity like on a 1987x, but it looked weird, so I ditched it...
