Hello, I have a Tascam M16. It appears to be in real good shape cosmetically and mechanically. It does have some tape skewing although. I flipped the pinch roller over and it seemed to help ( I have a new one). I'm not sure as to the condition of the heads as I don't know what to look for. I have run the MRL calibration tape through it. Track 1&13 seem a little flaky. I can not monitor the playback heads yet. I'm just doing some preliminary investigation at this point. I found a company on the East Coast that does head lapping and repairs, but I'm in Central Coast of CA.
