I have no problem taking renamed wav files from the FAT partition on the DP02 and putting them on my computer via usb, but when I bounce the tracks into a single (actually a stereo pair of tracks) track I get an error message on the computer saying it can not read the media file. The file shows up on in the WAVE folder on the DP02 just like the other tracks do but the bounce tracks will not copy. I've tried, sharing, changing permissions, mapping as a network drive and trying with another computer on my home network. No luck only the directly recorded tracks will copy. any one else have this problem and is there any way to get a bounce track onto my computer?

I might not have followed your problem closely enough, but couldn't you just export the two bounced tracks and then copy them over to the PC? I'm not sure if that is what you are doing already, but I thought I would throw that out there. If I get a chance I'll fire mine up in the morning and see what happens.

export bounce and arrrrgggghhhh (bang head on wall)

jjones thanks for the reply. Yes I export to the FAT partition and they ARE visible on the folder for the USB connection on the computer just as the other tracks are visible. I drag and drop, or copy/paste original tracks no prob. I do the same with mr. bounce track and computer says "can't read from disk". It's like the bounce track is not actually there though it shows as a wav file on the FAT partition of the Tascam.

I just gave up and am using the original tracks in soundforge. I just lose all the mixing I did on the Tascam. The bounce tracks seem to only be useful for freeing up tracks to record more tracks in the song. I'm doing all the finalize stuff on the computer. I'll also do the whole thing on the tascam and compare the master from the Tascam and what I finish with on Soundforge and take whichever is the better version. If I had $1500 to spend on equip instead of $400 I probably wouldn't be having this "cheap piece of junk" problem.:)

Still if anyone can come up with a work around I'll put your avatar up on my wall of fame.:D

I seem to remember running into the same problem a little while ago, now that I think about it. I don't remember if I had to save the song on the DP-02 first or not. If I remember what the solution was, I'll let you know.
