Tascam 42, 44, 48 Open Reel Decks

Greetings everyone, I am a newbie to your forum, but not a newbie to open reel decks.

I am in search of specifications for a Tascam 48 OB and 58OB. Just a short list of its operating functions would be great.

I own service manuals for the 34B and 44 OB so just ask for info from one of these and I will electronically copy and send it to you.

If you have the specs from the 44, they should be the same for the 48 in terms of frequency response, s:n ratios, wind speeds, spooling speeds, wow and flutter and distortion. The only difference beyond that is in the format of tape, number of channels and the weight and depth of the deck.

The 58 stated a frequency response of 30 - 24Khz, same wow & flutter, distortion and s:n specs as the 48.

The only real difference beyond the better head design on the 58 was the use of their Omega transport drive system which went on to be employed on the MS-16 and subsequent ATR60 series decks. This design placed the tensioner rollers above the head-stack for tighter control under SMPTE lock up and kinder handling of the tape during multiple wind/rewind play operations.

I'm a newbie with a 34B deck I am trying to get back to good working order. Missing some nobs and had to replace the pinch roller and drive belt, but there are other parts that I know don't look right. Looking to get a parts list or a schematic picture of the whole transport system so I can see if these little strings with springs attached are set up correctly or not. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
