I recently bought 2 behringer monitors B2031A and i get a strange noise from the left one every 5-10 minutes for about 5-6 secs. The noise is like "ts ts".

Firstly i thought its the monitor problem so i:
- I change audio cables
- I change AC cables
- Change power spots
- I switch between left/right in sound card

and still the same monitor make that sound.

Then i move the monitor to a friend of mine and leave it there playing for about an hour and i didnt hear a thing. So i supposed is not the monitor.

What might be the problem, my soundcard or any noise coming from my pc? And why only the left monitor does that noise??

Thank you

Sounds like a power problem... maybe your monitor doesn't like the wall socket it's plugged in to.

I have change the power socket. I also switch it with the other monitor but i still get the noise from the specific monitor :s

I don't know what else to suspect except for that specific monitor has a problem and you just didn't notice it when you were at your friend's house. You could also be having some interference problems at your house. Do you have any wireless devices or cell phones that are near that monitor?

yeah ..... it could be some wireless device but if it only comes from that specific monitor then there is likely something wrong with that particular one.
What I don't get is why it wouldn't do it at your friends' house.
That doesn't sound like the monitor ..... more like it's more sensitive to some emf noise at your location than the other monitor is.

But whatever it is, if the one monitor does it and the other doesn't, even when you swap sides, then there's something not right with that particular unit.

I dont get it either. Its been a week trying to figure this out. I tried all the possible fixes. Only thing i havent test is my audio interface which is making a wired noise when up/down volume but that was also happening before.
What are the chances for my audio interface to causing this? Is that possible considering the fact that i switch left/right on it and nothing change?

Maybe there is something sensetive in the spesific monitor and also a problem somewhere else causing it.

If you plugged the left monitor into the right socket and vice versa, then you can pretty much guarentee the problem isn't in your interface. The scratchy volume knob could be a problem with the volume pot (if your interface uses one).
