Hey Fellas,

Can someone tell me how to name these chord:

E----/-----
B----/-----
G----6-----
D----7-----
A----4-----
E----0-----

and...

E----/------
B----/------
G----6------
D----7------
A----/------
E----4------

Thanks in advance!

The first one is an A major chord voicing (A-C#-E). The second one is a variant of an A major 7 chord (A-C#-G#)

The first one is A/E, an A major chord with E as it's bass.

You could call the second one A/G#, an A major chord with G# as it's bass.

edit: yeah like scrubs said

thanks fellas

You're playing a G# on the E string against an open A? Doesn't it sound a bit, well, you know... bad? I'm just askin', but hey, stranger things have happened in jazz... ;^)
