The sr.com mp3 jukebox is awesome. I think it even has the older, faster version of YOB's Revolution, now out of print. I frequent the jam room in the forum as well.

This track sounds pretty cool! Needs to be a bit clearer somehow, sounds kind of muddy.. look forward to hearing the finished product!
I kind of like the stone rock genre, some bands get the exact fuzzy sabbath sound guitar, and have a really great sound.. unfortunately many are ruined by the vocals ("cookie monster" vocals etc)
I would like to know how to get that guitar sound.. a pod preset perhaps?

yea, I found stonerrock.com a few years ago. Lots of good shit there!
You used to be able to download 2 CDs worth of Stoner/Doom stuff from their Compilation CD for free.
Check out Color of Darkness, they are another good stoner rock band I discovered there.

Hey Jouni, didn't get a chance to listen to this stuff until after work.
Doooooommm is some good stuff. I detect an eau de Sleep.j I dig the track although I'd trim the low mids up just a bit. Sounds like there is a decay or resonance on some of those muted notes...it might get boomy on a big stereo (and I'm listening through *gasp* Beri 2031A's in an untreated room).
Rillutus, the solo stands out well from the mix. Did you add a boost around 1k or so?

I'd not have thought of ZZTop & Stoner in the same neighbourhood. Weren't late era ZZ just an MTV poprock creation?
You song sounds like it'd be interesting work through though. The drums are way too clear.

I mostly thought of "Rhythmeen" by ZZTop.
It had a very growly and punchy stuff, compared to "eliminator" etc....
It seems a bitch to mix that stuff.. Normally you got a clean bass in the middle, dividing the distorted gits... Now it's just on big roaring t-rex that someone pissed off by ripping it's toncils out.. ...go tell that to a sound-engineer if the condescendig dog asks how you wanna sound like!!!
