James, if you go to their site, only a "demo" of VSampler 3 beta version is available (no save function). The FAQ says the full version of Vsampler 3 is expected to be released 3rd quarter 2003.James Argo said:It's out there already fella

I see. Well, a less costly upgrade for UF owners would be to SONAR Studio, but then you'd be passing up on all the other goodies I mentioned: Vsampler3, Lexicon Pantheon Reverb, Console EQ/assignable controls, sample libraries...Middleman said:I have the beta version of Vsampler. Really just wanted the defining differences in the versions which CWMarketingGuy provided. Thanks.
I think you need another upgrade though. People who already have Ultrafunk 3.0 need a less costly version without those plugins if they are not critically encorporated in the final product of Sonar. They were almost $300 and I hate paying for the same thing twice.

That said, all registered Ultrafunk customers will automatically become Cakewalk customers, and will qualify for Cakewalk customer discounts. So, I don't think we're shafting anyone here.![]()

OK, fair enough. I understand where you're coming from. Logistically, I think it'd be less trivial for us to accomate that kind of arrangement, but I'll pass along your suggestion.Middleman said:I think you missed the point. I want the producer version but feel that I have paid double this year for the ultrafunk plug ins. Just looking for a little consideration here. Not trying to corrupt your marketing model.
Maybe you should offer a producer version for those that already have the Ultrafunk suite. Now that would be a step focused on customer satisfaction and win you a few more dollars over those who opt for the studio version because they already have Ultrafunk . I'm not saying your shafting anybody, in fact I have a long history of postive customer experience ever since the 12 tone days from Cakewalk.
Maybe a $179 price for producer for users of Sonar 2.0 that already made the jump to Ultrafunk.
James Argo said:Thanks for all your info and support. One more request from us the Cakewalk forumist of HR.Com BBS, would you kindly put this forum as one of Cakewalk online resource in SONAR 3 manual ?

I don't think that's gonna happen, but I'm totally behind the suggestion.zone_ahead said:I wish they would import this forum as an official cakewalk forum with moderators from the company, rather than the newsgroups which are a nightmare to navigate through.
