some soul for digital recordings

Ok, ok... perhaps I sing or play without soul, but having heard about some "analog simulation"-plug ins I really started to think this could help my tracks not to sound so sterile.

Are they good? Gotta have one! Free, if possible... where?

p.s.: I already got 3rd Ears Audio's "Tube Warmth" - but to me it sounds more like overdrive or - applying less - nothing at all.

If all else fails, you might try, "Filet of Sole."

Don't know what your gear is so I can't give you much advice except that you need a good mic, a good recorder, a good FX box, a good Mic Preamp....the list goes on and on but, it may help you arrive at SOUL of SOULS in your vocals.
