Well, no new amp. But here's the first 2 songs I've started working on with the TASCAM us800.
First tune is just waiting for me to feel like singing. Maybe this week some time.
ALIBI (no vox)
Second one has the theramin I started a thread about a few weeks ago. I think it comes in at about 2:20. Just need vocals on this one too.
BAD VIBRATIONS (no vox)
So are you stu or pete?

I hope he's pete because stu didn't last very long. and pete became a millionaire eventually.
actually the 6th member to join the band was ringo, but nobody wants to be ringo.
Ok, Rami, I gotta ask, how'd you record that bass on bad vibrations?

Yeah that's some badass shit right there FATTTT!
Here, I'm working on this:
I don't usually post unfinished stuff, but I'm breaking in my new guitar gear and this is where I'm at.
Hmmm...I never thought of any of that. I had no idea I can turn a knob to make the bass passive, but I guess that explains why one of the knobs seems to cut the volume in half.I wonder how much the active pickups add to the effect. I've only got one bass, and it's got active pickups with a knob to make them passive. I usually record passive because I like the 60s and 70s mellow bass sound. But I think the active sounds really great for songs where the bass needs to be more prominent.

I think how you pick makes a big difference. For this tune, I used one of those big, stiff purple Dunlops and picked HARD!

I've taken about 5 months off recording to do some open mic stuff, Write some new material and try and be a better musician/songwriter
I've got five songs in the works but I started tracking again last week and this is a snippet of what I am currently working on.
Little boat snippet by Infinite Number of Chimps on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free
All just raw tracks with some panning to help me figure out the arrangement and I'm planning on tracking the vox and harmonies next week
