i just emailed it to giles and told him to post it as final. im sure he will have them all up very shortly

so when exactly is the due date for all these and the date for the judging??

Forgive me all. Everytime I touch my server life gets hectic. Anyone who had trouble submitting their entries email them to me. I am back intown myself and putting the server back in normal operation. So the Judges can do their thing.

I will listen on Tuesday for my Overall did you catch the vision critique.

As a judge I'm not officially in the contest - but I'm curious how I would have made out in the 'catch my vision' critique.

Sounds good to me! Nice ping pongy delay on the vocal, good mix!

I mixed the back vocals more up front, and very stereo, for that modern zing-bang close sound. Hopefully that's a good thing! :D Reverb was outlawed in 1993 as I remember.. ;)

Bryan,

could you post a list of the submissions that made it to you, so that everybody knows if theirs is safe? Would be great. I sent you mine last week (see post).

That must be why most of the music recorded after 93 bites the big wazoo. People that don't use reverb should be locked in a padded cell in between Michael Jackson and Mr. Whipple.
"When reverb is outlawed only outlaws will use reverb" [ no I don't mean the guys that played "Green Grass And High Tides" although they did kick ass when I saw them back in the 70's]

I have DL’d all of the mixes posted here, with the exception of nessbass and any others that were emailed directly.

As I understand it, the judging deadline is tomorrow November 30th. The original submission deadline and judging deadline were five days apart, which I felt worked OK with my schedule. If we can’t get all the mixes until tomorrow, that gives the judges only a day to compile and listen to all these ear splitting mixes.

Bryan, we really need to get the rest of the mixes so I can have as much time as possible to do a fair critique. You can email the few mixes to me. Check your pm. Thanks. :)

Everything went from big slick productions to "in yer face" garage band sound overnight... I still refer to the day Nirvana entered the charts as "the day the music died" :D
