Mixing Contest! Tons of prizes!

Initial thoughts:

1. This is all super-well recorded, much more so than a lot of what I've mixed in the past.
2. As per the discussion a few pages pack, god damn that PZM sounds like a mixed drum bus.
3. I wish the singer wouldn't ad-lib YEAHAHEHEHAHAHAH so much after he sings most lines.

In any case, I'm having fun mixing a song in a genre I would never otherwise get to work with. Cool.

lol no, i tweaked what i thought needed tweaked, and how i thought it should be. i kept what i thought was good and removed what i didn't. It boils down to personal taste, and lets be honest, the tracks were all pretty well recorded at the source, less is more and all that jazz.

i agree. the track was very well recorded and everything sounds as you would want it to sound. i have done the same sorted what i wanted there and what i didn't and mixed with what i thought was need on top.

You will have ONE WEEK from June 22nd to complete your mix and PM me with a link to download it (IN WAV FORMAT) so I can upload them all to a central location.

You want a WAV file? I have never submitted a WAV file before. When I render to a single file and I pick a WAV file it puts a nice little file on my desktop, but I cannot open this file in windows media player. Let me know if this is the actual file you want, because a 320 bit Mp3 is a pretty good alternative for this type of thing. I'll load a WAV though if that is what you want.

It's the guitars - timing sync with the vox - it's a mix killer. And the bass sync with the kick - OMG what a nightmare. And that out of nowhere china bell - good god man!
Had I known it was a major slice and dice mix I'd a passed.
