I don't know the lingo so bear with me here. You know those graphic signal displays used in a lot of recording software? The horizontal is time and the vertical is amplitude. The signal should be centered on a line representing zero amplitude. When there's no signal or just a little noise, the signal should look like just a straight line over this center line. Mine aren't! My signals aren't centered on the zero line and it causes a "pop" at the beggining and end of my recordings. Iv'e used this software before and it didn't do this. It seems to need some sort of calibration but the program help doesen't mention this problem as far as I can find. I record with Dart Pro software through the line in of my card. What's going on and why wasn't this a problem before? HELP!

Had a similiar problem with the loud pop...go to your windows mixer app & make sure that you only have the LINE IN selected in the Recording Control....

Sounds like you've got a DC Offset problem. This is generally associated with cheapish soundcards (SBLive etc.) What you need is a plugin that corrects this DC Offset.

AnalogX http://www.analogX.com produce a DirectX version which will fix the DC Offset in realtime. Even better, it's free (and is well written, like all of AnalogX's stuff)

Many thanks. I just downloaded the program. Haven't tried it yet though. My card is an Ensoniq sounblaster audioPCI 64D. I'd heard that these weren't to shabby as far as cheapos go. I will look into getting a better one. If you have any suggestions that'd be cool. I'll probably start a new post on this subject.
