Thanks Chris, for the listen and for responding. I am so glad you liked it and appreciate your feedback!

My friend Gekko - You certainly seemed to put some thought into your response and that says a lot. To me it tells me you definitely want to provide detailed feedback and you seem to care about breaking things down for the artist. That's much appreciated. It's interesting you commented on the ending - I actually had a soft ending where it ended instrumentally without the big chorus and fade out. My musician friends (every one, actually) said they heard a bigger ending and thought I should fade out. When I changed the ending, I actually agreed with them and liked it better. But I was on the exact same track as you at first.

I'm not hearing the strange stuff on the vocal consonants as you stated, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Maybe it's coming through on your sound better than mine. I didn't do any section fixes in the song vocally, so not sure what that would be. I did use the gate and compressed the vocals, however.

I'm not planning on shopping this song (it's really for me at this point - and to find out what style I really want to sing - not sure this is it either), although I suspect if someone is truly interested in it, it would be redone altogether someday anyway.

Thanks so much for your detailed listen and comprehensive feedback. Always appreciated!

Jen

This song is cool. :) The vox are done very well. And the voice is just super. Very appropriate for this style. The piano playing is very good.

When the chorus kicks in the vocals seem to jump volume level by a good number of dbs. And hi hats behind the chorus seem a little too thin. When the chorus fades out, it's abrupt.

The song is great. Mix might need a few changes. Just my opinion.

Thanks bigbubba (cool name - I almost wrote hubbabubba). I appreciate the feedback and thanks a ton for giving it a listen!

Not much left to say that hasn't been stated already, but what a voice! You have great control and amazing pitch. I wanted to get a listen to this earlier but the work PC has no soundcard at all-and my schedule lately has been insane.

But another job well done-congrats!

Hey, Jen...I couldn't see it above...what is your myspace url??

Great voice Jen. You should sing the theme for the next James Bond movie. Very Carly Simon-like. I agree that the chorus is a little abrupt. Perhaps a more graduated build to the climax would be better. But good overall. Really good.

Thanks 1,2,1234 - I appreciate the feedback. If you know the people hiring for that next James Bond movie, tell 'em to give me a call. :)
