Hello all:
I can’t say enough praise to all of the members and moderators of this forum. Praise for making me think twice about running out and buying yet another piece of gear that I neither need nor have the knowledge of how to properly use it. I have simply started to use what I have and really study and practice the art of recording, mixing. I am a drummer\composer (I know I know) with 20 plus years of playing under my belt. After a short time away-away as in the world of Logic audio, Drum controllers, sampling and all things in the digital realm, drummed up enough courage to record music with my own drums. I’m now living in a situation where a very supportive wife along side a wonderful home invites me to do so. I am truly blessed. After a rather long night of study and practice, I finally achieved a mix that sat in well with the Logic sample library-a feat I thought was impossible. I just want to let myself and the incredibly talented folks here that I promise to never by anther piece of gear until the need and knowledge arises. I have learned so much from the generous and very supportive engineers who have offered up their “secrets” without sarcasm and much encouragement. My equipment list is as follows and I will get a great drum sound! If I have to spend months hitting my fricking snare drum 3 hours a night to figure out what I’m doing wrong, I’ll do it! Thanks much, Jeff

This is about the same view I have atm, though it's not totally in motion yet, I still want a decent EQ and a dual channel rack mount BBE and do the whole patchbay thing. In prospective, I'm very close to having the setup that I want and will be able to utilize, with the exception of the racks I want to build, but that's a whole new barrel of monkeys.

what model board do you have? Mine has been great, no problems yet.

I've got the 1222FX-pro and I love it, it's clean, it's right on, and the effects even sound halfway decent. I use the Mon out and FX out for stereo recording which is my only complaint, but hell, it's not that big of a deal.

cool, although I just pipe the mains into my 410 solo.I use the sub output for the monitors. My headphone out ffrom the 410 goes back into ch1 for monitoring. It seems like a huge amount of features for the price! Atleast I feel like I have the "pro" feature. and I just helped a Chinese family live! Very clean indeed!

Oh, sounds sassy! I should not let my wife know I just posted this reply :D
