Alan... Larry's a cool dude just like you... so I don't think he's going to get in an uproar... and Feilo make's some fucking nice mic's for cheap (like the MXL603S) and that's one reason why so many manufacturers buy from them... just like I believe you did in the past, and now do with another China Co... that's not a problem. The all USA made idea (all USA parts and componets?)your doing with the E seires is cool and I'm sure Fletcher will love you for it (no offence Fletcher)... but, I don't give a rats ass (no offence Track Rat). I'm headed to the link you posted right now... thanks. Oh, the MXL603S's we were talking about were selling for $49 each... how much are the Meekrophone JM27's selling for? Thanks again.

Hey DJL,

Well the 603 price is going up, but to what, I do not know. The $49.99 price will be gone. We are looking at between $59.00 and $69.00 for the JM27. We intend to get very agressive with the Joemeek line of mics, so we will be watching what MXL and others are doing. We can do things with mics from Feilo that we can't with Studio Projects.

We will do what we have to do, so all of this will pan out in the next 45 days or so. :D

Like we said before... the MXL603S $49.99 price is already gone. :( But maybe Marshall will bring it back, or maybe you will with the JM27. :)

So Alan. With the B and C Series already out, and the Stephen Paul Audio Mic, E Series and revived Meekrophones to come, is there any segment of the microphone market PMI Audio won't have a finger in?

Any idea what the UK retail price on the JM27s will be?

Alan, check your PM, at this BBS, from me when you get a chance.

Chris

DJL,

That clip is what we commonly call a "Butterfly mic clip", readily available here. :)

Rather than using PM's here, if necessary, just email me direct at locomo@bigpond.com

I wonder how pissed-off Feilo is going to be if or when all of the other manufacturers stop buying from them because of this and start buying from someone else. :D And some more thinking out loud.... Alan, after you take over the market are you going to raise the prices?

Yes, about £49 from the dealer. In two weeks, everything will be cast in stone, and we will have the dealers orders. We are thinking of doing a Joemeek "Green" color JM27G version for a small upcharge, but I am not sure a Green" mic is what users want.

Either way, the JM27, and JM47 will out before you know it.

Feilo will continue to do well, and look at my history...Have I ever raised any prices in the last three years??? No....I have lowered them when we reached levels of sales where I was passed on savings from the factories. I will do the same here as well.

I stated years ago that money and profit was not my total objective. I could have kept every discount the factory gave me for reaching goals, but I have always passed them on to my customers.

That looks like an ADK mic instead of the MXL 603.;)

Yes, it does because it is a Feilo designed mic, but do not be foold by the 603. The top of the mic may look different, but it is the same mic, and the test responses off all three mics are almost identical.

Any of you would be happy with any of these mics when it comes to performance. They are all pretty good. Again, they are not C4's, but they are very good for a low budget mic. My intention is to make the JM27 the lowest price of the three.

We will introduce our new cable and metal pop filter in 45 to 60 as well. This new cable has been tested next to a Blue Kiwi Cable and equals or surpasses it on every account. The pop screen is every bit as good or better than the Steadman. So, more things are coming....

I would take a pair of green ones just BECAUSE they are green. Run a limited quantity at the same price, and I'll take a pair. You can even ship em direct if you wanna.

Cheers Alan ;) . Looks like PMI audio are getting my money again........ I need some SD condensors.

The following two quotes are sniped from two different threads...

I am not looking to undercut anyone. We all pay the same for these mics, and if the other manufacturers denies it, well then, they are lying, or bad buisness people.

I don't think green is going to be the most wanted color... but you never know. It's just not the color I'd like best.

Thanks

That sounds great, assuming they're less expensive then the Blue/Steadman versions. Any idea what the time frame is on this? Also, what other new products are comming up in the Meek line?

Fair enough... and I thank you for that too. :)

mrface2112, I think you were very wise buying those MXL603S's at $49 each back then... I wish I would have bought more then also. :( I should have bought every one of them that they had... and put some up for sale on ebay after the new price increase comes into effect. Oh well, like I said before... those who snooze, lose. :(

If the dealer was selling them to us for $49 each... I wonder how much they got them for... hummm.

Also, I wonder how much it cost Feilo to make them... hummm.

£49? That's great. So I guess we're looking at just over a ton for a matched pair?

Got Dealers lined up?

Okay. Hands up everyone who thought ten years ago that one day we'd be able to buy condensor mics for less than an SM57.
