Er... care to expand upon why it reminds you of that?
No offence but to me it sounds like incoherent noise especially toward the end. Maybe I'm just too old to "get it". :)

Well, the end is supposed to give a chaotic feel. The song is "about" astronauts who fall into orbit of another planet and land in an ocean. So, there's a chance of hope, but they eventually die (which is why it ends like it does). Hey, if you don't like it, you don't like it. To each their own! Thanks for listening!

Great songwriting. I take it you were using the bass-like guitars on the sides of the mix in place of an actual bass guitar, I think they may be just a bit too loud with this mix. What about a bass line? There may not be room, I don't know.

I think you're too hard on yourself about the drumming but a song like this could use a bit more in that department.

And since it is an instrumental, maybe some guitar feedback or that sort of thing in the background during the quieter parts would be cool. You seem really good at getting nice sounds like that.

By the way, what happened with your previous metal band? That was some really interesting stuff.

I'm not a huge fan of this kind of shoe-gazer stuff, but for what it is, I think it sounds very well-done. The mix sounds great. It would probably sound better if it wasn't for that myspace compression...

Totaly outstanding! It was so good I fired up the bong and had a secong listen. Reminded me of early Spiritualised stuff. Excellent, great spacial placement in the mix

MORE! MORE!

the cymbals seemed really shrill, but it could have just been the stream.

cool stuff. is it going to have vocals? i can't remember if you said so or not.

to anyone streaming this I suggest clicking the second link and downloading

Donkeystyle: No, as far as I know it's not going to.
Lemontree: Why do people get high to this song?! I've had about 10 people tell me that they did! !!!
Hi_flyer: I really don't know what you mean by "shoe-gazer." Never heard that in my life. Is it supposed to be spacey or something? Anyway, thanks for listening.
Swatsds: I decided to use the neck pickups for this style just because the bridge pickups didn't have the umph for it. This isn't how the guitars are going to sound when I do an album version. There is a bass in the mix, but I kept it fairly low most of the way through. I just had two phenomenal drummers express interest in this project, so it may be turning into a two drummer setup very soon (wouldn't that be nice!). My previous metalcore band is now defunct. The drummer had a ska band going that took most of his time, I was looking more to do the spacey stuff, the other guitarist had none of his own gear (and so used mine) and it was just not a productive situation (not to mention it wasted a lot of gas). I think this project has a lot more potential. Thanks for listening.
